Hello,

What is the best agreed upon coded approach to allow users to not only submit a browser-enabled InfoPath form to a form library in SP, but also then after the form is submitted, restrict them to only view and edit their own forms, rather than everybody's forms as the 'Contribute' permissions allow?

well the best approach will be to give item level permissions. give contribute permissions to ones own item and read/no access to others.

If the user creates his own forms then you might have to give contribute permissions to the library also. if the forms are created through code, then you dont need to give any permissions to the doc library to the user
