How do you query (and keep) multiple, unique records on a single form?

I have developed a form for the salespeople in our office to enter in all the information needed to create quotes for their customers.  Currently, the sales reps enter in all the information for each of the many items they are quoting; however, this is truly unnecessary, as we have all that information in a database.  I have successfully connected the form to the Access database with our item information so that you can simply enter the item number for the query, and by tabbing forwarding (thanks to a rule that queries when that field is "not blank") the description, cost, etc. all populate in the appropriate fields.  However, I can't seem to find a way to allow the reps to enter MORE THAN ONE ITEM on the form while keeping the previous queried items visible.  After entering the first item number and tabbing over (pulling up all information associated with that item - Fig.1 below) and then clicking the tab on the repeating section to add the next item and entering the second item number in the appropriate box (Fig.2 below), when you tab over instead of filling the second line so that the information for both line items are showing, the second line disappears and you're left with just one line, this time with the second item's info. (Fig.3 below)  This happens over & over, never allowing you to accumulate information for more than one item at a time.  I can understand what it's trying to do by showing me only one record at a time, but I need the ability to add lines ad infinitum, each with it's own, unique item information queried from the database.

Please let me know how I can show the results of multiple queries all at once.  I know it's possible - I've seen it done on another InfoPath form - I just haven't been able to figure it out on my own.

    Many thanks,

    Eli

So the fields they are filling out -- are those bound to query fields or data fields (this is a databased bound form, is that correct? That is, a form based off a db when first designed?). If they are query fields, my thought would be that your rule is running when they fill out the value and re-querying the data....
