Search For Other Forms From A Form

    Good Day all.

I am new to Infopath so please bear with me:-)I need to fill in the form that I have created. And save the info using the "Save As" command to a shared folder. So next time I open up my form master I need to select the form(s) (there are about 250 of them in the shared folder)that I have previously saved from a dropdown list. All the forms are saved on a local PC. How do I go about that?

Then I need to print selected fields from all the saved forms in the shared Dir to a single Excell dockument. Is it possible to do that? And if so, how do I do it.

Every thing is happening on the same PC.
    Thank you for your help.

    Hello,
Please try this out and let us know if it helps. Open one of the 250 forms that you have created and click on File -> Export to -> Microsft Office Excel. This gives you the option to select the fields whose data you want in the excel and also the various files from which you want the data.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Arthur,
Welcome to the board! I don't quite understand your first paragraph. If you put your forms in a SharePoint form library, you can use a SharePoint views to filter and sort the forms for opening. You can also use a SharePoint list adapter from within InfoPath to list them, but I think the SharePoint views are better here. If you need to create custom code from your form that enumerates the items from a folder on your local computer, you will have to write custom code. Ideally, you'll want to put your forms in a database and have some query and filter logic in your form to help you find the right one.

Hope this helps, but I'm a little unsure it will.
