    SwitchView executes but no view switching

    Hi All.

    Within my task pane there is a fax button which faxes the form.
    The pressing of this button calls into managed code.

    The flow within the managed code method is;
    1. SwitchView to the Fax view.
    2. do all fax processing.
    3. SwitchView back to the original view.

    It is line 3 which exexutes fine but the view just does not switch.

    Any ideas? Many thanks. Scott

    Can you paste the code? This may help us understand the problem better.

    Hi Shanthi. Thanks for your reply.

    the code is very simple;

    public void Fax(string strFaxPrinterUNC)
    {
    // Get the current view name.
    string strOriginalView = thisXDocument.View.Name;

    // Switch to the fax specific view.
    thisXDocument.View.SwitchView(strOriginalView + "Fax");

    <some copying and pasting of files>
    <creating of a fax document>

    // Faxing is complete. Switch back to the original view.
    thisXDocument.View.SwitchView(strOriginalView);
    }

    any ideas?

    I did read a goodle post that states 2 SwitchViews cannot occur within the same unit of processing. But there was no explaination as to why.

    Kind regards, Scott

    IP's probably limiting this because it would lead to a flashing user interface.
