    Hello--

InfoPath 2003 had an onAfterChange event. With InfoPath 2007, if you are using script, you will have onAfterChange events. The InfoPath 2007 Object Model uses the 'Changed' event. So, in samples where you see someone using onAfterChange, you can use Changed.

For more information on these events, check out the MSDN links:

Thanks for your help, I don't know how to us Java script, so can we use VB or C# on this event to get different viewer? Can you give me some example to refer?

I'm a bit confused by what you wish to do. We can use C# in a Changed event to get different information from or about the form. By viewer, do you mean 'View"? Do you want to switch views? Or do you mean "User"?

Sorry let you confuse something. I want user choice data from drop-down list box and system will according to this choice to display the corresponding view.

Do you have some VB example you can show me?

    Thanks

    Hi--

In C#, we'd use ViewInfos.SwitchView("View Name"); . I imagine VB is the same, without the ending semi-colon. In your changed event, in place of View Name, you could use e.NewValue.ToString() to get the new value of your dropdown as the view name.

Thanks your help, I don't have any code experience on Infopath, sometime I use simpliest function to finished a form. like this time my request is switch view when user click "letter switch" according to his choice from drop-down list. so I set this button and set the rule, when drop-down field is #1, form will switch to view1, field is #2 then switch to view2.... Can you intrudice some reference book to me for coding?

    Thanks again

First off, it turns out I was mistaken -- you can't use the SwitchView method while the changed event is running. See this blog post for more information and a possible work around.

As far as learning to code for InfoPath, for the 2003 OM, Patrick Halstead's book Developing solutions with Microsoft InfoPath is a great starting point. I don't have any IP 2007 books, but a quick look on Amazon brought up Designing Forms for Microsoft Office InfoPath and Forms Services 2007 by Scott Roberts, and it looked pretty good. You may want to give those a try! MSDN is also a great resource... I think they have some labs you can walk through.
