Disable the "Fill out a form" dialog box

    Hi friends,

I have a fully trusted form installed in my machine. And it appears in the "Fill out a form" dialog box.
I want the form to be accessed only thru SharePoint and from nowhere else.
Is there a way to prevent the form from appearing in the "Fill out a form" dialog box
    or
as a last resort disable the "Fill Out the Form dialog".
    Any Solution??

I think there is an option to disable the "Fill Out the form" Dialog when installing Infopath. Not sure though.

    regards,
    Abhishek

So you have this fully trusted form installed on your machine and also signed and published to Sharepoint? If you anyway want to use the one on Sharepoint then why are you installing it on your local machine?

You can remove items from the Menu at the top by using the window that comes up when you click on Tools -> Customize.

    Hi Shanti,
The form is fully trusted. However I do not use digital signatures.I use regform to create an .msi file to be installed in every machine.

Also to use a RegForm based fully trusted form with SharePoint, there is a work around as described in
    the following link.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ipsdk/html/ipsdkDeployURNFormToSharePoint_HV01086376.asp

This is how I Deploy a Fully Trusted, Registered Form to a SharePoint Form Library

So, when you run regform you specify the ShP form library?

Re: Disable the "Fill out a form" dialog box

    Hi Patrick,
I dont specify the Shp form library when running regform.
I use the following steps as specified in the link.

1)Run msi file and install the form in the local machine. The default path, it gets installed in is C:\Program Files\InfoPath Form Templates

2)Now open the template(.xsn) file from the "C:\Program Files\InfoPath Form Templates" path.

3)Save as say "template.xml" in ur local machine.

4)Edit the SharePoint form library using the Microsoft Front Page.

5)Copy the template.xml to the forms folder of your SharePoint form library in the Microsoft FrontPage.

6)In SharePoint, click the "Modify Settings and Columns" link. And then on the "Change general settings" link.

7)In the Form Library Settings page that appears, specify your template url. example: formlibrayname/Forms/template.xml

8)Now send the .msi file to all the users.Once they install it,they can click the "Fill out this form" link in sharePoint to view the form.

This is a work around used to deploy fully trusted Registered forms in SharePoint.

But the problem is that when I open Microsoft Infopath,I can view these forms in the "All Forms" or "Recently Used Forms" categories.
    I dont want this.
I want the users of the form to be able to open this form only thru SharePoint.

    Regards,
    Abhishek
