Hi folks, I was trying to use SaveToSharePoint to submit an attachment to a document library but as soon as I opened a new document in my form library, it would tell me the following:
"This feature is not available. To make this feature available, run Setup again, click 'Add or Remove Features' and change the feature to to 'Run from My Computer. "
if I click OK, then it shows another dialogue box with Details saying:
"Form template: location of form template
InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.
The required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is not installed on your computer, or the InfoPath Primary Interop Assembly (PIA) is not registered. Use Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel to make sure that the required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework is installed. Or install it using Windows Update and run the Setup program again to confirm that the corresponding version of the .NET Programmability Support is installed, or contact your system administrator."
I emailed ErnestoM about this and here was his reply:
"I did some research and found that .NET 2.0 is required (and it may actually be installed already), but if InfoPath was installed before .NET, then the PIA would not have been installed and the instructions in the message need to be followed (“run the Setup program again to confirm that the correspondingversion of the .NET Programmability Support is installed”). "
I resolved the issue after going into Add/Remove Programs, pressing Change on Microsoft Office 2007, selecting Add or Remove Features, and then selecting Microsoft Office Infopath to Run all from My Computer. I was able to open the form, upload files and needless to say, I was overjoyed. I hope you guys find this useful if you're running into this issue. Big thanks goes out to Ernesto for helping me with this.
