    Create TOC in Infopath form

    Hi,

Is there any possibility for creating TOC as in Microsoft word?

Right now, what I am doing is, I have 5 views in my form and I am using buttons to switch views..And for TOC, I created buttons and changed background to look like hyperlinks..My main problem is, for some reason, if users add more text to form, then page numbers will change. How can I handle this kind of situation? Please advise.

    Thanks

    Krishna

What do you mean by page numbers?  There aren't page numbers unless you're referring to each view as a "page," and you have manually assigned them page numbers.  Even so, how would adding text add to the page numbers when adding text doesn't change views?

Could explain in more detail what you mean?

Yes, I am referring each view as a page and i have manually created page numbers for these views. So, is there any possiblity that we can create TOC as in microsoft word? My client wants to print this form as an hard copy, if needed and the requirement is it should look like a word document.

The problem I have is, I have created print version to these views. If users are adding more text to each view, then while printing, I think, page numbers are not going to be the same for each view.

that's a tough requirement as InfoPath forms are electronic and should be used to AVOID printing.  I would try to do everything you can to find out what the real requirement is and try to meet it without printing.  In the end, if they have to be printed, it's not a logical expectation for it to act 100% like a Word doc with full fidelity in terms of a dynamic TOC.  However, there is the option of doing a Word Print View.  This is a little complicated and takes some time to figure out, but I'm guessing it's where you'll want to focus your attention next.  I don't really see great resources online for this.  My book - Pro InfoPath 2007 - has a good write-up on it, but there isn't much online.  Here are the basics from Microsoft direct:
