Changing 'Name' after InfoPath form has been submitted

We're using InfoPath 2003 and submitting the forms to MOSS 2007 forms library. When the form is first submitted, there is a formula that creates a unique number based on the date/time and uses that as the form's 'name' when it is submitted. In the forms library the name will be something like 20090929110002.

Later the library item's name is changed to reflect the information contained in that item. Everything looks good in the forms library. However, when the items are returned in a Core Results web part, the original form name is displayed - not the revised name.

    Result of type: document20090929110002.xml

The URL, however, contains the article name: Changes%20to%20funding%20options%20for%20dealer%20purchases%20–%20effective%20Sept.%2026.xml. HOver over the link to see the full URL.

We can't understand why the original name is still being displayed. Anyone have an idea?

     Thanks!

just a question , how do you rename the infopath form.

is it possible that your web part picks data from cache.

is the rename never reflected in the web part, i mean after some time

Thaks for your response, Qazi. The form is renamed manually by placing the forms library in datasheet view and then cuttting and pasting the ArticleTitle field (form field) into the Name field (library field). After thinking for a sec, the pasted text becomes hyperlink and ".xml" is automatically appended to the string. If there are any "illegal" characters in the ArticleTitle field, we simply replace them with dashes so they are legal hyperlinks.

To be clear, I see the new revised title everywhere the list is surfaced, except for the Search results. That's what seems so odd. It seems to be retaining that original name somehow. any ideas?
