    We have forms that pull the username and then uses a webservice to populate Full Name, Email address, Branch, Ext...

    The problem we are running into is when an employee changes thier name and we update AD with the new name (ex Joan Doe [jdoe] becomes Joan Smith [jsmith]) infopath pulls jdoe instead of jsmith. This causes the rest of the fields to not populate anything.

     

    Any ideas? i was thinking that InfoPath is caching data.

    I assume the web service you are using is the User Profile Service.  if so, then this service pulls data from the SharePoint Profile Database.  This information gets updated through the profile import, which pulls new info from AD.  If you aren't running the profile import regularly, then you will never see AD changes in InfoPath.
