    repeating table question

I have a repeating table that has 12 fields in it - I would like the information that is in the first row to autopopulate to the second row when the client adds that row. Is ths possible and if so how

    Thanks

    Hi Richard,

Just set the default values to pull from the previous row. This will require double clicking the nodes and setting the default values for each. You could simplify by writing code, but you can do this without code if you are willing to work up some semi-complex xpaths. Search this forum for "previous-sibling" - people have asked this question before and we have posted answers. Let us know if you don't find the post.

Ok I am a bit slow but what do you put in that box for the default value to pull from the previous - I searched but am still unsure of the answer to put in

my:myfields/my:group1/my:group2/my:row[last()] - states that the path is wrong but when I look at the code that is the path

../preceding::my:grpoup2/my:field1 - I tried this and did not get errors but nothing happens

Kinda weird to keep replying to myself but I found that this solution does not work in forms services - It says the expression is invalid - I will continue to test and see if I can solve it there
