Save client InfoPath form data xml in SharePoint document library

    Hi,

I am hosting a client InfoPath 2007 form in SharePoint. So when the use in SharePoint access that xsn file, it will open the client InfoPath client and let the user enters data. However, when they cliet are done with the form, they are saving the data xml locally. I would like to have the user save the data xml file in a SharePoint document library (and this process should be transparent to the user. The user just needs to click save, then the data will be sent to the SharePoint document library directly). Is there a good approach to this?

     Thanks,

    Kenny

    Hello Kenny,

It sounds like you need to publish the form to your SharePoint library. So instead of saving the form, you will select Publish instead and then choose the path for the library where you want the form published. The form will still open in the client (unless you have Forms Services with Sharepoint 2007) but when the user saves or submits, it will save it back to the library. Hope this helps.
