contact selector submitting Display name into Library for a workflow

    contact selector submitting Display name into Library for a workflow

    I have created a workflow that uses the contact sector and the Display name to send a email. However the email never gets set because the column that the Display name is set is text and not a email address. How would I fix this by using SharePoint Designer workflow or InfoPath. I know this has been solved before and is maybe an easy task.

    Can you create an email from the account ID? That is, take the substring after the '\' and then concat the @xxx.xxx?
