Fill out Form, save to Sharepoint, edit/opening in Sharepoint

    Hi Folks,

i´m a Newbie in nteracting between Infopath and Sharepoint...

I´d like to open a Form in Sharepoint to fill it out... This works.... I´ve mad a form and distribute it to the sharepoint

    So far, so good

The Problem is that i need in this Form tree Buttons

SAVE - for saving a filled out form, the filename must a new filename....  (and stored in SP)

UPDATE - for Update an existing Form which is opend over Sharepoint (and updated in SP)

CLOSE - to close the form with a message box "Would you like to SAVE (if it´s a new file) or UPDATE (an existing File)?" or a automatic routine who decide if UPDATE or SAVE the File.

Have anyone some idears, better would be some codestuff... i´m a bad dev....

I´m very pleased when somebody have some stuff for me...

    Many many thanks!

    SEA

    Hey there.

With a submit data conncetion you can set the filename and control it.

You could do all of this functionality with buttons in a view.

A Save / Update / Close and use rules and logic for each.

Save submits with the same name. (I would save the filename in a field in your form)

Update changes the name field and then submits.

Close would show a hidden section with your options and two more button which did the same thing and then closed the form.

Do you have an example of this in code?  I am trying to get it so when the form saves to the Sharepoint site, the filename contains a field from the form but I can not find the field.  This is the first time that I have programmed on the back end of InfoPath.
