    dropmenu and autosum error

    Hi,

I created an Infopath form and used dropmenu to aid user to select the right options.

At the end I created one textbox and inserted formula to autosum the values from the dropmenu. Formula used.... sum(/my:myFields/my:groupToSum/*)

When I tested the form, it worked fine.

Suddenly it has started showing me the following error :

"A calculation in the form has not been completed. The number of calculations used for single action exceeded the maximum limit"

    Any help?

     Thanks

    Jags

Are you storing the result to a field in the groupToSum group?  If you are, that formula will create a recursive loop, and that error.

yes, I created a text box and used that formula.

what is the other way round to avoid error? Shall I use expression box?

So you're saying that the field where you're storing the results is in the groupToSum group?  If that's the case then you can probably get around this issue by storing the result in a field outside that group.

      Hi,

You can also use expression box to solve your problem.
