folks need your help.. here is what I am having (as an experiment for some other complex form)

1. Form connected to SQL2005 DB with submit option enabled and is based on a simple table with two columns (a,b)

2. Form contains repeating table to show data from SQL table which users can update. I am able to manuall update the data values in form and submit it to DB.

3. Now I am trying the validate event tied to column b of repeating table with sole purpose of programatically set the value of this field to something (e.g. test). But when I run the form, I get "InfoPath cannot update the data, because the form is currently read-only", Why ? When I am able to perform the same action manually ??

Appreciate your help in understanding / resolving this.

Finally figured this out, my code was tied to "On Validate" event of the repeating table text box, seems Infopath puts the form in ReadOnly mode during validate event. After I tied my code to "After Change" event it worked like it should, juts took whole of my Saturday for me nail this down :(.
