Hi,

Once the forms are submitted, their values and the promoted fields are fixed. Even external SharePoint list items they are referencing are changed, they remain the same until we open them up and submit again. I am looking for a good way to keep sync with the forms, so they can keep up to date while their external references change.

 I planned to programmatically open them and submit again, but it would fire up subsequent event handlers which is not necessary in my point of view.

 I personally think it is an important issue to InfoPath and hope there are some good practices being applied.

Hello,

Did you try the 'Relink Forms' function on the new SharePoint site? This seems like it would fix the problem.

To do this simply click the 'Relink Forms' button in the top left corner of the SharePoint library and check all of the checkboxes and hit OK.
