Quick question here;
Let's say that I was creating a database for work, and that I planned to use Infopath as a front end for data entry. Let's also say that I'm currently running Infopath & Sharepoint (and everything else) 2003, but that I'm soon receiving a systemwide upgrade to 2007.
What I want to do is, while I'm waiting on the server situation to be sorted out with the appropriate department, start work on the data entry forms, and add the yet-to-be created database as a data source after.
I have a mock-up of the DB to be done in Access 2003 that is precisely what the database will look like in the final, MS SQL Server version (I'm aware of the subtle syntax differences between Access and MS SQL Server).
Given this background, is it possible to create all the forms in advance, in Infopath, using the dummy Access db as an initial data source, and then change data source to a MS SQL Server db? And, if not, would it be possible if we upgraded to 2007?
Also; I realize that access to access data source change is possible (source), but the source page does not say whether Access to SQL is possible.
