    error setting up my lookup node (Visual Basic)

    Please help!

    I keep the error "Object doesn't support this property or method" on the following line of code.  Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

    objcontactLookupNode = XDocument.GetDOM("bakery-mstr").selectSingleNode("/d:bakery-mstr[@bk-contact='" & strcontactId & "']")

     thanks

    Jerri

    Hello,

    I think your XPath is might be wrong. Your XPath should be start with root node. Can you give the schema structure of "bakery-mstr" secondary dom to give correct XPath of the field. Check once your filter condition also.

    XPath should change like this,

    ("/d:bakery-mstr[@bk-contact='" and strcontactId != "']")

    @bk-contact='" > this field equal to blank

    strcontactId != "' -> this field value is not blank

    Hi Shiva,

    Thanks. I tried to use != but it does not like that operator combination. It expects a right parentheses at that point. However, I did add "/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/" to the XPath. Do you have any more suggestions?

    thanks,

    Jerri
