How could I make the user who submits the form as the one who sends me the form email?

    Hi everyone,

I have created a broswer-enabled form for users to submit the form to my outlook. I designed that process like this: as soon as I got the email from the user who submits the form, my outlook will send out an auto meeting invitation.

However, the email I got comes from the sharepoint in which I published my infopath form. See the infomation below. Therefore, I failed to send auto meeting invitation letter.

Q: How could I make the user who submits the form as the one who sends me the form email?   I checked a post on this forum: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/7442.aspx. But I didn't get the solution as my process seems different from that one.  Could anyone give me a hand?  Many thanks,Bernice

I assume you are receiving this email by subscribing for alerts to the document library you are submitting to. I don't believe subscribing to alerts allows this flexibilty to change who the email comes from. Your answer lies in building a custom workflow. Sharepoint Designer would be easiest. Visual Studio or some other 3rd party tool (like nintex) are other options.

NO, I didn't subscribe for alerts. Here is what I did: set email data connection -> publish the form template to a document library in sharepoint. Therefore, when user fulfills the form and clicks the submit button, the form with information user enters comes to the email box set during email data connection. During the email data connnect setting, I set to make all emails come to my email box. When I recieved emails from submitters, I found that the sender is not the one who submitts the form. The sender is the sharepointID. In my project, I need to make the submitter as the sender so that I could make an auto reply to sender.

Do you know how to make the submitter as the sender?

    Thanks,

    Bernice

I doubt it, especially with browser-based forms. Workflow is again your answer.
