I've developed a form using InfoPath 2003 with embedded hyperlinks to files stored in shared network directories. As an enhancement, I was asked to implement a change, where upon saving the form, the SaveAs dialog defaults to a known shared directory. I found several posts on InfoPathDev that easily describe how to do this. However, when I added VBScript to my form, the hyperlinks stopped working. You could click on the links and nothing would happen. I then found an article at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/828853 which describes how to remove the scripting from a user form by modifying the template's Form Files. I removed any references to the scripting language from the manifest.xsf file, re-published the template, and the hyperlinks worked once more.
In fact, I not only had to remove the scripting references in the manifest, I also had to add the following to the first tag in order for the hyperlinks to be active:
<xsf:xDocumentClass trustSetting="automatic" trustLevel="restricted" ......./xsf>
I'd really like to add the enhanced SaveAs functionality, but must keep the hyperlinks. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep both?
