Using Hyperlinks When Completing a Form

We have a form on Sharepoint that has both an edit and a view "view".  Our users are able to go in and enter their information into the form and some have entered in hyperlinks to other information.  Now when you click on their hyperlink in View it opens up the page in the rich text box as opposed to opening a new window.  When you click on it in Edit (by using the CTRL key) it opens in a new window.
Can someone give me some direction on how to get those hyperlinks to show in a new window in either view?

    Thanks
    Diane

    Hi Diane

You should be able to add the tag to your hyperlink, just like you would in any web page, to force it to open in a new window.

I have not tried it but this might help. http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

The only problem with that is we have a large number of users who are entering info into these forms and they won't necessarily know to do that when they add a hyperlink (unless we put something on the form instructing them to do so which probably won't get read!)

I just wasn't sure if there was something we could do when creating the form to force any hyperlinks to open a new window.

Are these just hyperlinks in a rich text field?

I thought it was using the controls and then you could add the extra text transparently.

    Are these browser forms?
