We have a strange situation that's baffling us, so any help would be much appreciated.
We had Infopath 2007 installed on XP machine using an MSDN media, with my CGO msdn license key. This worked fine, and since it was not Company license key, we didn't activate it. It has now expired, so we have been trying to replace the license keys. The registry hack didn't work with a Full company licence key that we've been given by client (this key is not the issue as we've installed using a different media and the same key on many Win 2003 servers). To eliminate the issue being related to the media, we've uninstalled Infopath 2007 on one of the training machines and tried installing with the media that worked on the Win 2003 servers. That didn't work as well. We tried using a different MSDN license key from a different source in here, and that doesn't work either.
In all we've tried two different media, and 2 separate license keys and each time it refuses to accept the license keys.
Does this have anything to do with the OS on the machine? Could it be the fact that we already had infopath installed on our machine? I can't think of anything else that was different on these boxes compared to the ones where they are working....
There's nothing in the event logs and we tried deleting anything in the registry (with the "digital product id" or "product id").
