Finally getting around to trying this but I'm wondering if there is a way to create a new form without losing all of my binding. Obviously I have a ton of bound fields since I have about 186 fields I'm trying to submit to the table but when I create a new form and copy/paste or drag/drop.... every field becomes unbound and in turn it also erases all of the rules that I have on my controls! It will take me the better part of an 8 hour day to recreate the form as it should be.
I'm wondering if there is a way to keep from losing the binding and/or rules?? If not, would it be more worth my while to recreate the form and all of the rules associated with it or just try splitting the table in two and use the primary key? Thing is that I have other forms that I use to submit even more than 186 fields to a database but they are broken out into several tables...
Oh, and I was able to modify an existing record just fine. I used the second view to select the record and switched back to the default view and it displayed all the information just fine. I added some additional information and was able to save it just fine. When I went to create a new record I received the error though... BUT, I have been able to submit using this form just fine previously.
I'm rambling now but it is rather unexplainable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Didn't know if it may be a known glitch... or something someone else had experienced.
Thank you. I'll post my outcome but suggestions are always welcome in the meantime! =)
