Help with multiple selections using mouse click

Hello.  I have a drop down box with 50 entires.  I want to create a code that will allow the user to highlight and select an entry with one click of a mouse.  I want to be able to select more than one entry and I want them highlighted so the user can see the selectionss.

     Can Anyone help?

    Welcome Donna.

Do you have InfoPath 2003 or 2007?

In 2007 they have a multiple selection list box that does what you describe.  Workarounds in 2003 could be to have them make several choices and then save and display those choices in a seperate list.

Thank you, Clay.  I am using Infopath 2003. I like what you said about saving, selecting multiple choices and then dispaying in a saperate list.

How can I make that happen?

You would need a repeating group to store your list of selections.

When they select from the drop down it adds a value to the list and resets itself.  A list control displays the list contents as it is built.

They select another value from the dropdown, and another is added, etc.

Another option is to create a list of your values. ValueName, ValueSelect and display it in a repeating table within a scrolling region.  The user would go through and check the ValueSelect checkbox for each they want.  Then hit the continue button and you do what ever with ValueName with filter [ValueSelect=true]
