Cannot connect to local Access database while no network connection

This is my first infopath 2007 project, did a little work with infopath 2003.  I have built a form that is linked to an Access database and runs on the local computer, which as of now, is not connected to any network.  When I hit preview, or run the form, I get an error box, heading is "Network Connection Unavailable" and the message is:  One or more data sources that are required to open this form are not available, because your computer is not connected to the network.  To try to connect to other data sources, click "Try to Connect".  To use previously stored data, click "Work Offline".  Clicking "Try to Connect" results in an information warning stating "A required data source is not available.  Some form elements, such as drop-down lists, may be blank.  And clicking "Work Offline" does nothing.

     Thanks for any help

    Hi Thefooser1 and welcome!

    Some questions first:

    • What other data connections do you have in the form? They may be causing problems if they require net connectivity.
    • Did you originally design the form when access was on a server? If so, the data connection may not be updated.
    • Was the form template published to a website or did you manually publish it locally? To access the database locally, if you have published the form locally, you may have to make the form full trust, or ensure that your local machine is joined to the domain and the access DB is a share and that share is how the data connection was defined originally.

You should verify that the access data connection is pointing to your local machine. Go to Tools->Data Connections and click on it. See what it says in it's properties.
