InfoPath Dev

Hi,

Got a user in our organisation and he can't open any Infopath forms from sharepoint on his PC (XP office 2003).  It starts to load the template (the green bar gets to the end) and then just freezes.  I have tried some templates that dont need to be trusted and the same thing occurs.  Strange thing is, is that if you publish or copy the form to a shared drive or his desktop it will open fine?!  I have tried logging in and the same thing occurs so it is a PC issue.  I know at this point it looks to be a complete rebuild of XP etc etc but he is a director and would rather not.  Anyone seen this before?? 

 PS he can also open infopath on its open and open forms such as the sample ones fine.

You might look at his IE options and make sure the SharePoint server / URL is in his Intranet or Trusted Sites zone.  There could be data connections that are getting blocked but typically an error would occur not a freeze.  How long have you waited for the form to appear? From your testing, I would have to think this is an IE / security / maybe permissions issue.
