InfoPath Dev

I am looking for code to check and see if a field contains a "."  I am using IP 2007 and Jscript.

My code is something like this:

var summaryField = XDocment.DOM.selectSingleNode("group1/my:field1");

Then i want to do an if statement and that is where i need the contains statement something like

   if(summaryField.text == contains(summaryField.text, '.');

That isnt the right syntax, but thats what im looking for.  Just something to check and see if that field contains a '.".  Any ideas? Thanks

 

Been on Vacation and getting caught up but if you have not gotten this yet.

The contains function would return a True or False which would not probably be the value. I would think you would want if(contains(summaryfield.text, "."));
