How to set text box control with a value when a form is opened

I posted the following question in Code group. It may be more appropriate to post  here, since I  don't  want  to do it in the code. I am not sure if there any way in InfoPath 2003 to initialize a text box with a value when the form is opened.

It is very easy to set a text box with a value by using Rules. However, all these rules are called with change on a control or click on a button, which means some interactive action has to be done to get these rules called.  I want to set a text box with a boolean value when the form is opened.  Then I'll use this value to set conditional format for some controls such as visible or enabled. How can this text box  value be initialized when the form is opened? Thanks for any help!

Check out the Open Rules in Form options.
