XML Batch file and repeating table?

I have a batch file with several rows and a secondary data connection to a repeating table, but as you know it only displays one row in the design view. Is there a way to have 2 rows with a text box on one row and a drop down list box on the second within the same repeating table that has a secondary data connection to a batch file?

     Thanks!

Multiple row repeating tables are not directly supported in InfoPath. However, there are some alternatives:

    1. Create a single column repeating table, and then inside that column, add a layout table with the construction you desire.

    2. Use a repeating section instead of table, and then again, use a layout table inside with the design you like.

Re: XML Batch file and repeating table?

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for your response! I am using the xml batch file to submit to a SharePoint list. I created the repeating table by right clicking on the secondary data source (batch). I want one of my fields to point to a text box and one to a drop down list box. Is that possible using steps 1 or 2?

Re: XML Batch file and repeating table?

Just to let you know what I am trying to achieve. I am trying to submit a list to SharePoint 2 of the 3 fields will be input by the user and the third field I am making a drop down list to be able to select the document to be updated. If there is another way to submit to a SharePoint lists where I can have this functionality I am open for suggestions. Thanks for you help!

I got an error on number 1.

InfoPath cannot automatically create a field or group in the section containing this control. To set the binding, select a field or group in which to store the control's data:
