Hi Shiva, thanks for the help - but the value of the drop down (from previous selection) and the texbox (from previous selection) still repeats/carries over when i insert another section.

Greg Collin's post (http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2005/07/14/Create-a-Repeating-Cascading-List-from-a-Hierarchical-Data-Source.aspx) does not address this issue.

Hi Shiva, My apologies - it works all good and ofcourse Greg Collin's blog is effective if i considered case sensitives........before i forgot to use to current so the repating section was carrying over the values. Then when i used current() i used current()/my:city instead of current()/my:City. 'C' of City should be in in caps and it all solved. wonder the caps error wasnt picked up by infopath. But thanks again for your help.

Yes, Gregs blog is good ofcourse, any way i too learnt some thing with this discussion.
