    Using SP and Infopath 2007

I am trying to create a pretty simple InfoPath form.

All I want to do is have a text box where a user can enter a number. The a submit button that calls a stored procedure and returns the requested data. Then bind the data to different controls.

I have looked around and can#%92t really find what I am looking for.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Please help.... I am under the gun on this!

    Thank you!

Hi dalethom and welcome to our forums!

I'm not sure where SharePoint comes into play here, but one idea is to expose your SQL2005 sprocs as a web service. After this is done, you can hook up to the web service in InfoPath as a secondary data source and submit/receive all you want. It's not an easy task that you are pursuing, but it should be doable. Let us know if you hit any problems!

DOH!Sorry by SP I mean stored proc. Not Sharepoint. I will look at the web service idea.

    Thanks!

Here's a more detailed example of how Matt's suggestion would work with InfoPath:
