    Form variables

    Good morning:

I am feeling rather silly about this question but here it goes? I seem to remember that there was an option check box that said "Save Data With Form". Can anyone tell me where this option is located.

I am closing a form that has a primary data connection (sql table). On close, the data in the tables is updated but NO form variable data is being saved.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Hi Bill,

If you are referring to data stored in secondary data sources, there is no way to store this with the XML of the filled out form. The only XML that is saved is that which is stored in the Main DOM. The secondary data sources either come from the XSN or some other place (such as a web service or database).

I think the checkbox you are talking about is in the last screen of the Add a Connection Wizard, when you are adding a Receive data connection on an XML document. At this point you can choose to store the data in the template or not, but not the filled out form.

    Hope this helps!
