Hi, I'm a newbie and I have already really started using Infopath for lots of interesting stuff at work. I guess this has been asked before and I have looked through the forum headings, so please don't shoot me.

I have created a form that depending on the information completed should send the appropriate form to the appropriate person. However, using the buttons and the submit function, changing one button changes all of them. Is there a way I can use 4 buttons on the same form each sending to different email addresses on clicking and submitting?

Yes, you can have as many buttons as you want. The key is to have different data connections associated with those different buttons.

It sounds like you currently have one data connection for multiple buttons.

Hi, Thanks for that. I do have different data connections for each button, but if I change one, they all get changed, it's driving me nuts as there is no logical answer to this.

Eamy, change the Action on your buttons from Submit to Rules and Custom Code. Then click on rules and for the action select "Submit using a data connection". That way you can pick a different data connection for each button.
