Data Connection, Submit Status "Not Allowed"

I am creating a new InfoPath form from a Data Connection. I am selecting a query as my table. When I do this, I get an error saying that "Submit status: Not allowed - One or more of the tables in the data source do not have a primary key, unique constraint, or unique index." Does this mean that I cannot use a query as my data connection?

If so, what should be my solution? I was using the query to ensure that I only got relevant entries (those that have the attribute "selected" as "-1").

If I can use a query, then why the error? Each of the tables has the same primary key, is this an issue? I tried adding a unique primary key for each of the three tables involved in the query and this changed my error to "Submit status: Not allowed - A SQL Join statment was used." Well, isn't that what all queries are?

    Thank you in advance.

I have since realized that I can import multiple tables and make and perform a sql query on these before creating the connection. However, this also results in the same errors. How am I to ensure that only "selected" entries are available for entry?
