Hi.

I know from the MS article http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_ip2003_ta/html/odc_InfoPath_extending_save.asp that thisXDocument.SaveAs cannot be used within the extension of the Save event - OnSaveRequest.

But there is no explaination as to why. Can anyone explain why this is so?

Thanks for responding on the Full Trust thread and others! Great question! Well, my guess is that this won't work because OnSaveRequest is called as a result of Save or SaveAs. Hence, calling SaveAs from OnSaveRequest would result in an infinite loop. Think Samba! :) Also, note that SaveAs is level 3 which means "in Full Trust do we trust". Have fun!
