Hi,

I am using Infopath 2003 with web service. I have two functions in web service one for each Main query and Main submit. Main query data connection calls "getprojectinformation" with string as parrameter and a dataset as return type. For Main submit,"saveProjectInformation"  I pass entire dataset as xml and save it to database. and return type as string.

My question is how do I show the user that his submit is successful and also the error if submission fails? Or how do I show the return value of Main submit to the user? Need help ASAP.

You have to check Return type value what it will gives the message for success and failure? Depends on message you have to show the alert message or text in UI.
