    Infopath, SQLxml and asp

    Hi,
I am a newbie to this site and glad I found it.
I would like to use Infopath to drive a control CMS for a website using a connection like SQLXML or other HTTP interface. All I have really seen from Infopath is it saving an XML document or mailing it in office. The only use Infopath has for me is it I can create forms that talk to external data services.
I had nievely thought that Infopath would create XSL pages that I could used to connect to XML, and speedup web page (Xpath) development.
What can I realistically expect to get from Infopath?
    Is it just corporate?
Is there usable browser plugin (not a photo of a form but the JS that drives the form input)?
Can Infopath be used to develop UI dialogs but do not need Infopath to drive that dialog?
I know I would have great difficulty in selling Infopath as any component to drive the backend of a web site to my clients.
Any pointers to helpful topics would be greatly appreicated, if anyone has any ROI examples about what Infopaths yeilds that would be cool to.

Welcome...I found this website too a couple months ago and the content is great!

One thought that comes to mind is there is a workflow application I have been working with called K2 Workflow. It intergrates with InfoPath and has direction connections into CMS that can be used to build content. Although I have not used it with CMS. I have used it to integrate InfoPath with WSS and BizTalk and was very pleased with it.
