Upload files to a WS from InfoPath form

    Hello,

I have a problem and I'm hoping this is the place to get some help. I should mention from the start that it's my first time developing a InfoPath form with managed code. The scenario is like this: I have a web service that expects the files it needs in the Attachemnts collection of the RequestSoapContext. I'm using WSE 2 SP2. The web service works fine, but now I have to develop the form that send the file.

How would I go about this. Trying to add a web reference hangs the form at runtime. Some people say that the way to submit data to a WS is to create a Submit data connection, but now my question is: in this case how do I populate the Attachments collection ?

Thanks a lot for your help,

    Andrei

Hi Andrei and welcome to the forum!
When you say Attachments collection are you referring to some repeating section in your data source that stores attachments? If so, then this will be populated by InfoPath when users fill out hte form and attach files to it. If not, then I'm confused and there is some other kind of attachment. Please help me understand.

It is possible that you have found a bug with WSE or InfoPath or both. We had issues with WSE and IP back a year or two ago because it only supports a certain kind of SOAP (I forget which one). Anyway, good to see you in the forum. We have resources and hope to help you solve your problem.
