If your DB doesn't have the default security settings, it would. Access security has nothing to do with your permissions on the machine, right? Did you try to create that empty DB on your machine, just to make sure.

I tried creating a new db on my local drive and a new InfopathProject in the same Visual studio folder. Got the same error. Can't understand why it fails when I try incorporating the Infopath template?

    Hi Kip,

You would need to make your InfoPath form "Full Trust", to be able to use Access DB from code.(Full Trust is not required if you make the "Access DB" connection into a main data connection).

Have you tried this ? Let me know, i can send you some sample form/code, if you are still having issues.

    thanks
