InfoPath Dev

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my Infopath system that I have implemented in my company for tracking work. Basically its an old version that we are using and I have since made some updates to it that I want to implement...

the problem I have is that when I add more fields to our database, the new fields dont show up in the Data Source view in Infopath... I need to start from the beginning again, make a new form, copy the layout over and select the data source again so it will bring in the new fields, this is very frustrating and am sure that there is an easy solution but i cant find it!!

You please modify the data connections so that you will be able to see the newly added fields in the data source.

Thanks for the quick reply but can you tell me exactly how to do this? I have an old version of Infopath and I read somewhere that the easiest was of updating the data source is to rebuild the form from scratch??

Hi, Sorry for the delay

1. Add fields you required in your database
2. Now open the InfoPath form in design mode
2. Select data connections from the tools menu
3. Click on modify button and check show table columns check box
4. Now it display the new fields added in your database with old fields
5. Check the new fields added to database to see them in your data source view
