InfoPath Dev

I work for a medical center and we are using Advantage Database, I would like to know if infopath would be able to intergrate with my Advantage Database on my server. This is the link for Advantage Database http://resolution.extendedsystems.com/ADS/default.htm)

Hi, Welcome to the Board!
You can find some information about database connections athttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HP011093001033.aspx. Info at this link says that you cannot connect to databases other than SQL Server and Microsoft Access.

You can always try and check it out whether it works.
But you can write custom code to get the data and fill InfoPath XML with that data.

So you are saying that it coud be done?

And if it could be done the custom code would have to be written on the database side or infopath?

Yes it could be done through the Custom code written on InfoPath side. Custom code will be either in .NET or JScript or VBScript.

One more thing if you write custom code to get the data, you have to give full trust to your form. And most of the people donot prefer to give full trust to their infopath forms.
