InfoPath Dev

Newbie here.

My goal is to have a repeating section that only shows up as a link by default. The user has to click on the link to actually view the questions. Currently, my minoccur=0 and from what I read on the forum, this just means it can be changed to occur 0 times. Is there a way to have it occur 0 times by default? Is this just the nature of a repeating section and it cannot be changed?

My only other workaround is to place the repeating section in an optional section since optional sections give the desired '0 occur at default' effect. I do not like the aestetics associated with this approach.

If this question was asked before here, please direct me to it as I did not find any reference to this.

Welcome to our forum! This is indeed possible. Go to Default Values... under the Tools menu. Find your repeating section in the tree. Uncheck the repeating section. This will remove the initial default item. The UI icon/link will still show for adding an item.
