Hi!!

I'm new to this forum and new to Infopath, I've been able to create a not very complex form and to connect to a DB mostly through code, etc., but I'm having a problem:

On one view (which I want to send by email), I have a button, when I click it, I use the next code in order to use a mailEnvelope object

var oEnvelope = Application.ActiveWindow.MailEnvelope; oEnvelope.Visible = true;

in that way, an outlook-like object shows and the user can write the topic, to whom is it addressed, etc. and by click on a button on the outlook-like object send the form (I didn't create this button, it's part of the outlook-like object).

I need (by request of the users) to make all buttons in the form invisible, so the buttons don´t appear (only the other data) in the form while the user is writing the topic and the other data, I've accomplished that, but I need to be able to detect when the message is already sent (when the user clicks the send button on the outlook-like object) so I can make the button visible and maybe switch to other view.


I'm sorry to bother you, but I haven't figured out how to do that and also I'm sorry if this is such a long post.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Why not just set a value in your DOM (preferably secondary data source) and use conditinoal formatting based on that to hide/show a section containing the buttons?

I did something like that, the problem was to determine when the user clicked the send button (which belonged to the outlook-like object, not to my view). But I solved the problem with code, maybe I took the longer way, but it worked.
