Hello,
I am interested to know if its possible to update/add a Sharepoint List Library item without using a repeating table?
I have done some google searches and browsed these fourms and have not been able to come up with an answer. Currently I have my InfoPath form retrieving data from XML file which i have added as a repeating table to my form. Once my form is submitted i currently have two data connections. One that uploads the form up to a document library and another that uses the web service to update a list lirary with my fields. It is currently working as is, but i would like to know if its possible to do this without a repeating table.
The reason i want to do this, is because i want to be able to set conditions/rules within the form that will submitt specific data to the list based on the data entered in the table fields.
Also, i am having difficulties with implimenting a check box as part of my data. For example i want to place a check box in my form and when the form is submitted i want it to update the list library and show in my one collumn if that box was checked. Currently I have this collumn setup as a yes/no boolean in my sharepoint list, and in my form i have it setup as a <field> in my xml repeating table, which i can manually type in a value and it updates my list accordingly but i would like to have it as a checkbox instead and I am not sure how to do this.
Is this only possible with writing code? I am mostly familiar with VBscript so i would like to use that if i have to. Also if code is required where should it be placed? on my submit button?
Thanks in advance for all your assistance
Thanks
