    SendKeys.SendWait to "open" dropdown?

I am trying with code-behind to cause a dropdown box to "open" after it is populated.
I cannot see a way to do it, so I tried using Sendwait. However, Sendwait appears to not work. That is, I don't get an error, but nothing happens. I tried just trying to do a "Save" using Sendwait, and nothing happens with that either, so it appears that Sendwait is being ignored.
Does anyone know if Sendkeys.Sendwait is supposed to work in code-behind for InfoPath?

Hi MFrumer and welcome to our forum!
This looks difficult. You might try using either an HTML popup dialog or the taskpane as possible workarounds. I'm pretty sure that the view isn't going to let you programmatically access the dropdown like you want.

    1. So does that mean that Senkeys.Sendwait, which looks like it will send keystrokes to any active window, won't send them to an InfoPath window?

    2. Can you give me some more direction on your suggested workarounds?

    Thanks.

    As per #1 above:

Although InfoPath uses HTML to render the views, it is heavily sandboxed and many of the features that would work in a web page will not work in InfoPath. This is a security feature and will likely not be changed.
