    Securing Infopath forms

    Hi there,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this thorny subject. We as a company have set up a hosted site using sharepoint and are planning on publishing some forms to the free demo section.

The question is: Is there any way to protect the forms from being poached and used by someone else. I know you can use protection, but that won't stop someone downloading the form template and nicking the code.

I've now spent the best part of a week trawling the web to try and find a solution, but as yet am no closer to finding a solution.

Does anyone out there have any ideas?

Hi c5rlh and welcome to our forum,
In general, we use obfuscation for the code in our forms. In terms of protecting the form design you could disable the open in designer button, encrypt the form and load from another form (check the SDK out for methods to start InfoPath form using data). That would be one way. In general, we don't care about the forms so much and that's why we only obfuscate the code.
