Does anyone know how to auto increment a number in a Repeating Table?
For example, I started a blank form and place a Repeating Table on the form. When I preview the form, I want the default be a number and when I click insert to insert a new row, I want the next value to be incremented by 1.

This is what i also need to do. I have a text box in a repeating section, but when i add the code (

count(../preceding-sibling::my:Row) + 1

) I get an error.

"../preceding-sibling::my:Row" does not point to a valid location path of a field or group.

I feel like i need to change the my:Row, but i dont know to what.

You have to put the name of your reapeating section!

I am new to Infopath and was hoping someone could send me a sample form of how to apply the formula.
1. how to set up repeating rows for this formula to work.
2. how to create the my:Row, my:number etc. ..

If I have a from that follows count(../preceding-sibling::my:Row) + 1
I think I can learn from that.
