how to get all rows from Repeating table

I have a web service to which I am submitting data from infopth form. Signature of my web service method is as follows:

    [WebMethod]
    public XmlNode UpdateListItems(string listName, string
    updates)

I have a repeating table on my infopath form. And I have a
data connection to submit data to my web service where the
parameter value for "string updates" is set to take from
the repeating table control of main data source. I have
tried both options "XML Subtree including selected
element" as well as "text and child elements only" while
setting up the data connection to web service. I am
expecting that "updates" parameter would have all the rows
in the repeating table. but I am always
getting just first record from the repeating table even if
I have 3-4 rows in the table.
What is that I am missing?

Also, If I have a date column or lookup column or
person/group column on my list which I am trying to update
using the List.UpdateListItems method of the sharepoint
web service then update is not taking place. I am not
getting any error at the same time.

Is the repeating table that you are binding to in the data connection in the form of a CAML request? I don't know how this would be possible otherwise. Are you saying that binding the updates parameter to just a regular repeating table node in your main DOM correctly adds items to a SharePoint list?

Otherwise, I know you can add more than one list item at a time, and you could do this from a secondary DOM without code.

Check out this HowTo on adding SharePoint list items:
    http://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=7bc880f391b84ea9b3b45c6fbecc07c6

By modifying that HowTo, I'm sure you get get this to work by changing the CAML template to have several <Method> elements.
