So basically i have a form in Infopth 2013 where the user input details as follow:

Bank name 1  = A

Commission 1 = 300

Bank Name 2 = B

Commission 2 = 200

Bank Name 3 - C

Commission500 3 = 150

Total Value = 650 (the user must type this value )

Total Amount =  (auto populated based on a formula)

 

requirement : if the user type for example the amount of 500 in the field (Total value), the field Total Value & Total Amount are not identical, so the form should display error (Value not identical) .

in other words, the two fields value must be the same (Total Value and Total Amount).

I'd put a validation rule on Total Value. If Total Value is not blank and Total Value is not = to Total Amount, show a validation error. If you need help, feel free to attach a copy of your form to the options tab in a reply.

Right click the linked file and select the option to save the file locally. Right click the locally saved file, and select design to open in InfoPath Designer. The rule is on the field next to the Total Value: label.
